Bollywood couple Genelia and Riteish Deshmukh have started a new plant-based meat venture, Imagine Meats. They say that their products will have the taste and feel of real meat and will cater to the Indian palate. Plant-based meats are made entirely from plant ingredients such as pea protein and coconut oil, but replicate the taste, smell, and sizzle of animal meat.
The couple has initiated this change with a purpose to safeguard the environment and leave behind a healthy planet for future generations. They believe that Imagine Meats can lay the foundation of change in India. While the work has been in progress for the last one year and the first product is expected to roll out by the fourth quarter of the year.
