Journalist and activist Gauri Lankesh was killed due to her anti Hindu views according to the charge sheet filed in the murder case. The Special Investigation Team has filed a 651 page charge sheet against Naveen Kumar and the other accused in the case.
It was revealed that the accused were angry with Gauri for speaking against Hindu dharma and against Gods of Hindu dharma. However the confession made by Naveen Kumar and his three friends before a Magistrate at Maddur have not been made public as the team probing the murder requested for it not to be published as it would tip off the other accused who are still at large.
