The Bindu School of Art will be showcasing an array of paintings called ‘From Pain to Paint’ that will witness social activist Padma Venkataraman and Deborah Thiagarajan on the day of inauguration.
The exhibition is curated by Austrian artist Werner Dornik who also happens to be the co-founder of the art school. The Bindu Project uses art to change the lives of people affected by leprosy. By painting pictures and selling them the students attain financial independence without the discrimination of receiving alms. It was founded in 2005 by Werner Dornik and the Indian social activist Padma Venkataraman.
