Four astronauts- Stephen Bowen and Warren Hoborg from NASA, Andrei Fedyaev from Russia and Sultan al-Neyadi from the United Arab Emirates returned to planet Earth on Monday after spending a successful 6 months in space at the International Space Station. They splashed down safely in a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft off the coast of Jacksonville, Florida on early Monday morning.
They said that they were longing for hot showers, hot cups of coffee and the ocean air from March since they reached the International Space Station. Their return was a bit delayed because of bad weather conditions at the splashdown locations. They were extremely happy to be back on Earth.
Sultan al-Neyadi was the first person from the UAE to spend an extended time in orbit. The four of them spent exactly 186 days in orbit.
