Chandrababu Naidu, former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh of the Telugu Desam Party, was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department in connection with corruption in the skill development scam case. The Telugu Desam Party MLA and former minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao and his son Ganta Raviteja were also arrested.
Chandrababu Naidu has stated that he has not done anything wrong and that officials arrested him last night without even showing him any proof. He was said to be resting in his vanity van after his public address in Nandyala city.
He has been named as accused number 1 in the Andhra Pradesh skill development scam case.
He will be produced before a special court in Vijayawada this evening.
