Zorambo Hogareno Restaurants will invest 50 million dollars to set up 200 cafes under its banner in India, Ireland, UK, Germany and Singapore in the next 48 months. The brand is in advanced discussions with for capital funding the concept is scalable despite the heavy competition and intensive nature of the food and beverage industry.
The company has applied for a global patent for the restaurant, or a cafeteria and restaurant format in the UK. The 200 stores will be driven by the company after which it will loom for a franchise outlet.
A report on Indian food services by the National Restaurant Association of India estimates the market to be Rs 5 lakh crore by 2021 and lists challenges such as real estate costs, taxation and high levels of employee attrition.
