Food Consulate in association with Fondbites School of Sugar Arts presents Open Cake Challenge 2020, a three-day event to promote the trade of making cakes and pastry. The event has the following components for the enthusiasts and interested people to participate in.
On the first day, around 75 students from various colleges and schools from in and around Tamil Nadu will participate in a simple fresh cream cake making competition. The theme will be “Celebration Party Cakes”. The cakes will be kept for display and will be judged by Chef Willi Wilson, Cake Artist Subhashini Ramsingh and Chef Jins Paul.
On the second day, around 75 home bakers from all over South India will participate in the advance fondant cake with the theme of “Festivals around the world”. This will showcase the advanced skills of home bakers and their cakes will be judged by the top Cake Artist and Chefs from India. Cake Artist Arati Mirji, Cake Artist Anna Austin and Chef Rumana Jaseel will be the judges for this category.
The event will display top Home bakers from Chennai who will be displaying and selling their wares to all the walk-ins in the designated areas. It is a great opportunity for budding entrepreneurs and established Home bakers to showcase and sell their bakery goods and produces across to the visitors. A range of pastries, cakes, brownies, specialty breads, cookies and biscuits, ice creams, homemade chocolates, pies, stuffed buns, pizzas, Indian baked delicacies and much more are expected to be showcased here.
