NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine said that a woman is likely to be the first person to set foot on planet Mars. While he did not identify the specific person he said that there are upcoming plans of women visiting the planet.
When he was specifically asked if women would also go to the Moon for the first time, he answered in the affirmative.NASA has announced that it will have a first all female space walk by this month end and astronauts Anne Maclean and Christina Koch would float around in space.
