Latest additions and trends for the festive collection this season according to designer Namrata GB include…
Sarees to be draped in three different ways
– frill saree, dhoti saree and lehenga saree.
Ensembles with lehengas, long jacket and cigerette pants.
Lots of drape dresses done differently. Also, layers and drapes with innovative bottoms is huge this season.
Lehengas with short cholis and long layered jackets are big. This is definitely one look you must have in every wardrobe.
Men’s fashion: Men too will play with innovative bottoms with either shirt jackets, bundis or long jackets. The look is a fusion between the western cuts and Indian drapes and Indian textures.
Style tips for women:
– Add a maang teeka to your outfit and make it ultra glam.
– Add a Benarasi dupatta to a long jacket and pants attire.
– Add a frill dupatta to your ensemble to give that extra bounce.
Layering is the key, so play along with layers in a fancy and innovative style.
Accessorise in an innovative manner, try body jewellery over solids, and go zero on accessories with a grand ensemble.
Play with hair and make up. Hair accessories are big this season. But if you are using hair accessories underplay the jewellery completely.
Festive colours: My festive palette includes bluestone, galaxy blue, fruit dove, biking red, chilli pepper, peach pink and eden green.
