Nikhila Vimal and Prithviraj Sukumaran convey a strong message
In the backdrop of the rising number of deaths and suicides in Kerala due to dowry, domestic violence and physical and mental harassment, the state has opened toll free numbers and helplines to offer counselling and support to women. There is increased awareness now that giving and receiving dowry is a serious crime. The Kerala High court has also taken the issue seriously questioning the government about the steps taken to tackle the issue. Film employers federation of Kerala FEFKA in association with Indian ad film makers, IAM had jointly released a short film last week against domestic violence. Now they have come up with a second video against dowry in which Nikhila Vimal and Prithviraj Sukumaran convey a strong message.
