A fake doctor Muthulakshmi has been arrested by the police for causing death of a pregnant woman.The fake doctor and her son were running an Ayurveda hospital. After the death of the pregnant woman Vanithamani, both mother and son went into hiding. Health Department Director, Bhanumathi along with Family Welfare Department Joint Director Krishna, District Medical Officer along with a team launched a raid
and sealed Muthulakshmi’s hospital.
She had been running the hospital for more than 15 years.During a raid, the clinic was shut but she opened it a few months ago. The police alleged that due to the lethargic attitude of the health officials in not cracking down on the clinic has led to the killing of an innocent woman. Meanwhile the police have tracked down Muthulakshmi in Nagapattinam where she was hiding in a friend’s house and have arrested her. A team has been formed to trace her son who is still at large.
