Both tech giants, Facebook and Google will permit their employees to continue to work from home till the end of the year. Sundar Pichai, Google Chief Executive said that employees who need to return to the office can do so from July with enhanced security measures in place.
The majority who can carry out their jobs from home can continue to do so till the year end. Facebook too is determining which of it’s employees will be asked to come to the office and who will be permitted to work remotely. In fact Facebook was the first tech firm to ask their employees to work remotely when the pandemic started. It even gave its employees a bonus of $1000 for their work from home and childcare costs.
