If you’re feeling desperate, we bet you will feel a little more positive about holding onto your love handles after reading this. Some people really take dieting that step too far! We spoke to some such, to understand how far they had gone to shed kilos, and round up some of the craziest, most extreme diets out there. And no, we don’t suggest you try them, but we surely hope you’ll be inspired.

Swasti Kedia, Yoga instructor: I followed the Gluten Free diet for three months religiously (might sound easy but try avoiding the food you love, you’ll know) to increase my energy and lose the extra bags on my body. Yoga is a disciplined form of exercise to improve one’s physical and mental health. In order to be a good teacher, it was very important for me to not only be able to perform every posture but most importantly do it with the right technique. When there are 15 pairs of eyes in a room pointed towards you to learn something good, that’s when you know you need to be better than them for them to believe in you.
