Would YOU try these extreme diets? There are times when we all think we’d do anything to lose weight, and then gobble up another slice of pizza and forget all about it.
If you’re feeling desperate, we bet you will feel a little more positive about holding onto your love handles after reading this. Some people really take dieting that step too far! We spoke to some such, to understand how far they had gone to shed kilos, and round up some of the craziest, most extreme diets out there. And no, we don’t suggest you try them, but we surely hope you’ll be inspired.

Nikhil Dhawan, restaurateur and hospitality consultant: I’ve been a juvenile diabetic since the last 17 years which has inculcated a good culture of maintaining my diet to make sure my blood sugar levels are in control. Adding to it, thanks to the industry I am from, needs me to keep trying food at all the time. So, I do not believe in a drastic diet unless one is competing or getting married! (laughs) My diet generally consists of a healthy portion of carbs, proteins and fat – the ratio of which keeps changing on the basis of my personal goals. This teamed with a good work out that is what one needs for a basis healthy living.
