The Chennai chapter of Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), a support network of 14,000+ leaders across 61 countries, has launched #FeedTheNeedy, a food drive program that supports 15 shelters and care homes around the city, including Kids’ Cancer Institute, Rainbow Homes, Dignity Shelter, Hope Charitable Trust, Dignity Shelter, and the Government Shelter for Girls.

The initiative is an extension of the EO South Asia Region’s National Food Drive program. The Chennai chapter has decided to continue the good work by continuing to supply food provision items in bulk to the partner NGOs and organizations.

Speaking on the initiative, Surbhi Gupta (the Spousal Chair of EO Chennai) said, “At EO, we actively seek new ways to give back to society. We are glad to have this opportunity to help to feed hundreds of people and support the work of these organizations. We are making efforts to reach even more care homes and expand the program further.” #FeedTheNeedy was the brainchild of Gupta and Rinku Mecheri, Spousal Member and Founder of EO’s Chennai Volunteers wing.

EO Chennai was launched in 2000 and has over 100 members from a wide range of industries, including auto, biotech, chemicals, IT, financial services, F&B, hospitality, oil & gas, and pharmaceuticals. The Chennai chapter is a part of the 2050-member and 28-chapter strong EO South Asia. Internationally, EO has 198 chapters, all of which are built on a mission of helping entrepreneurs achieve their full potential through the power of life-enhancing connections, shared experiences, and collaborative learning.
