Entrepreneur Pankhuri Shrivastava passes away

Pankhuri Shrivastava, an entrepreneur who founded the social venture Pankhuri and home rental start-up Grabhouse died on Friday due to sudden cardiac arrest at the young age of 32.
She was born in Jhansi and studied computer science engineering at the Rajiv Gandhi Technological University. She got married a year ago on December 2, 2020.


She founded rental start-up Grabhouse which was acquired by online classifieds company Quikr in 2016. She later founded Pankhuri- a women -focussed social venture. It is a Sequoia Capital-backed social community platform for women in India to network, learn and shop online through live streaming, chat and micro-courses.
Her untimely demise has come as a shock to many people. In fact her last post on social media was just a day before she passed away where she spoke about challenges in evaluating candidates with interviews.
