The dad son duo were part of the largest melam ensemble of 315 people who performed in Chennai recently. Sharath, a third standard student of PSBB, who has been training for over two years, is senior to his banker father who followed his son’s melam sticks a year later. In addition to Sunday classes the two of them have been rigorously training for two hours everyday from 5 in the morning for three months in the run up to the grand event. While Sharath’s dream is to play at Sabarimala, Vishwa plays to keep stress from work at bay.
