Certain details have come to light after Deepika Padukone’s appearance before the Narcotics Control Bureau about her involvement in the alleged ‘drug chats’. According to the latest reports on Times Now, NCB sources have confirmed that Deepika was the admin of the WhatsApp group which came under the agency’s scanner for alleged drug-related chats. The report further went on to state that celebrity manager, Jaya Saha was the “owner” and also an “admin” of the chat group that had Karishma Prakash as one of its members.
The NCB is expected to find out whether drugs and other narcotics substances were being procured, supplied, and even consumed from 2017. The central agency summoned Jaya Saha for three consecutive days of questioning. It was during these cross-questioning sessions that the talent manager alleged that it wasn’t her, but Deepika’s manager Karishma, who “catered to the celebrities.”
Deepika is scheduled to appear before the agency on Saturday and join the investigations. Bollywood actresses Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor have also been summoned for interrogation on Saturday.
