Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone will unveil the World Cup Trophy in Qatar. It is likely to be unveiled before the World Cup final on December 18th at the Lusail Iconic Stadium.
Deepika is the first actress to receive such an honour at the world’s most watched sporting event. The 36 year old actress will fly to Qatar to do the honours. Last week another actress Nora Fatehi performed at a FIFA Fan Fest event in Qatar. She is said to have set the stage on fire as she danced to the World Cup anthem. Nora’s performance received a lot of attention and many attendees took to social media to praise her performance.
On the work front, Deepika will be seen in the film ‘Pathaan’ along with Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham. Another film ‘Project K’ with Amitabh Bachchan and Prabhas too is in the pipeline.
