Dear Zindagi might not really be a fresh wave of a film. The makers of the Shah Rukh Khan – Alia Bhatt starrer have been sued by makers of the Canadian TV series, Being Erica, who claim the film is strikingly similar to the television series.
Being Erica is about Erica who cant handle relationships and has cheated on her boyfriend and Dr.Tom, who is a therapist who helps Erica cope up with her problems. Sounds eerily similar to Alia and Shah Rukh’s characterisations right? The producers of Being Erica have sent a legal notice to Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions for copyright infringement.
