Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni did a special lap of honour at the home ground in Chepauk after the match against Kolkata Knight Riders. Even though Chennai Super Kings lost the match, Dhoni went around the ground with his team and thanked fans for their support. He shook hands with the security officials, signed autographs and tossed some tennis balls and jerseys into the crowd with a tennis racquet.
The spectators went berserk on seeing Dhoni leading his team after the game. Batting legend Sunil Gavaskar who is now in the commentary team of the IPL ran up to Dhoni and got his autograph on his shirt.
The Chennai team which lost the match to KKR by 6 wickets, has 15 points from 13 games and will play against Delhi Capitals in Delhi for their final league match on May 20.
