J. Radhakrishnan, who is the Special Officer for COVID-19 operations in Chennai said that the number of positive cases is likely to increase in the coming days but assured people that it should not be a cause of concern. According to him, the number of tests conducted in Chennai is the highest in the country and about 3500 people are being tested everyday.
He urged the people to co-operate with the government and follow social distancing and to wear masks as we are fighting a battle against an invisible enemy. He said that those who do not pay heed to the requests made by the government and if people fail to wear masks or follow social distancing, they may have to be fined.
