The Democratic Attorney General Letitia James has filed a civil lawsuit against former US President Donald Trump and three of his children who are executives of his company under provisions governing taxes and property valuations.
The civil suit is for misrepresenting funds and evasion of tax. It is the outcome of a two year investigation done by Letitia. The probe has named 23 properties under the Trump Organization. Trump’s lawyer has denied all the allegations and Eric Trump, son of Donald Trump has accused Letitia of being the most corrupt. Attorney General in the United States history.
Besides Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr, Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump have been named in the suit. They have been accused of deceiving lenders and of giving insurance brokers better rates on bank loans and insurance policies in order to reduce their firm’s tax liability.
