Conrad Bengaluru’s signature Asian restaurant, Mikusu is all decked up in celebrations. With Oriental music setting the mood for an indulgent experience, the menu is handpicked by Chef Dolphy Lobo & Chef Devender Rawat, where they present a repertoire of fare suited best for celebrations of the Chinese New Year. Cocktails infused with Asian flavours made live at your table complement signature dishes like the Shanghai Lamb dumplings, scallion pancake, charcoal grill snapper, wok-tossed lobster and oyster tenderloin.
Ringing in to good luck and fortune, festivities begun on 5th February with the hotel lobby filled with chatter and excitement, as guests awaited the sought-after Lion dance. Mikusu restaurant was decorated with the theme of red – Lanterns, gong, wish tree et al. There was a live cocktail making session by the bartender Sujoy Chakraborty at the table and the Whiskey cocktail was the clear winner hands down. Called the Opium it was made with poppy seeds and cinnamon infused Whiskey with tamarind and grape syrup. The spices added to the flavour of the drink. This was paired with golden fried prawns, edamame bean with truffle oil dim sum, Shanghai lamb and stir fried water chestnut, shiitake and asparagus. For the mains there was some delicious Mapo Tofu, sweet and sour pineapple prawns, black pepper chicken and broccoli, shiitake mushroom and baby corn.
