A 43 year old woman from Chennai who was employed as a temporary staff member in a government office was allegedly raped at knifepoint by a 20 year old youth at her residence.
According to reports, the woman finished her work and returned home on the 20th of May and found the accused Vishal standing outside her house. He is said to have closed her mouth, pushed her into her home and then raped her. He also took nude pictures of the woman and threatened to upload them on social media if she did not go whenever he called her.
The woman narrated this incident to her daughter who took her to the police station. The Adyar All Women Police traced the number and succeeded in nabbing the culprit. During investigation it was found that the accused had stalked her for several days. The accused has been arrested and booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.
