Chennai book fair to be held from February 16 to March 6

The 45th Chennai book fair will be held at the YMCA ground in Nandanam from the 16th of February to the 6th of March. It will be organised by the Booksellers and Publishers Association of South India (BAPASI).
It was originally scheduled to be held between January 6 to 23 but was postponed to a later date due to the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Permission to organise the book fair was granted by the state government following a representation from the secretary of BAPASI after assuring the government that it would strictly adhere to the Covid protocol in force.
The number of bookstalls will be reduced from 1000 to 800 and will be spread across the sprawling campus. Over 80 percent of the infrastructure for the event is ready.
