Hola Kochi! is a 3 day Seafood festival at the Fort Cochin restaurant at Casino Hotel
Spain, like India, is a seafood lover’s paradise. With the Atlantic Ocean at her doorstep, Spain has perfected coastal cuisine through the centuries. For the adventurous among us, Fort Cochin Seafood Specialty Restaurant at Casino Hotel, has saved us the trip by bringing us HOLA Kochi! the Spanish Seafood Fiesta for three days only, from 9th to 11th June 2017.
Starting with Sopa de Mariscos (A mixed seafood soup), through ten (that’s right – 10) different types of tapas, two types of paellas, and authentic Spanish desserts; it promises to be a true fiesta. The ten tapas (Spain’s version of an appetizer) include Calamares Fritos (breaded deep-fried squid with red bell pepper mayo), Gambas Al Ajillo (sautéed prawns with garlic and chilli) and Pimientos Rellenos (tuna in parsley sauce stuffed into red peppers). For those who want the chef’s recommendations, there’s the tapas platter.
For mains, there are the essential paellas. Inspired by the Valencia region of Spain, these paellas are loaded with fresh seafood, rice, spices and vegetables. For dessert, you’ll be digging into delicious almond cream tart with pavlova and moist, rich orange & almond cake with chocolate truffle. An what’s more is that we’ve got over three types of delicious Sangria you can pick from. This authentic menu is prepared with love by their Master Chef Unni, who is mucho respetado in the culinary fraternity of Kerala. His curated menu is perfectly paired with live saxophone music performed by an accomplished musician, every evening from 7 to 11 pm. It’s everything you dreamed Spain to be.
