WICCI Karnataka Defence Personnel Council celebrated PROJECT MILAAP with 50 powerful women on the day of Durgashtami with power and josh at Conrad Bengaluru. The motto being Be Inspired! Stay Empowered! Let’s Celebrate Women!
An honorary and voluntary initiative, it was started globally by a very dynamic and down-to-the-earth lady Harbeen Arora, who is the Founder-Director of WICCI (Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry) and Global Chairperson of All Ladies League, whose only vision is to empower women and uplift them and tie with bonds of love and sisterhood.
WICCI Karnataka Defence Personnel Council’s vision is aligned to the same with a mission to create awareness with the help of community engagement by partnering with government and defence officials and carry out Project works under three verticals of SAHAY; ASPIRE & INSPIRE under the leadership of State President Major Aditi Mohan (Former Indian Army Officer) and Vice President Bia Sandhu Taneja along with a team of 31 esteemed women council members. The Guest of Honour for Project Milaap were Dr. Suchitra Kaul, Feroze Abdullah of Feroze’s Builders, Akkai Padmashali and Baljeet Singh.
This was their very first project under INSPIRE called PROJECT MILAAP and brought in people from all walks of life amongst women guests to share their inspirational journeys through a panel discussion called Create a Better World. The Chief Guest for the day was Shri Rizwan Arshad ji, honourable MLA along with the Guest of Honour, Bhaskar Rao, ADGP Internal Security Division. He is fondly called the SINGHAM of SINGHAM’s and the CORONA COMMISSIONER for the outstanding work he has carried out to keep Bengaluru city safe. Their encouraging words empowered the women to step out of their comfort zones and do their bit for the society.
The eminent and distinguished speakers for the panel discussion Dr. Suchitra Kaul Misra, Dr. Elizabeth Cherian and Umesh Jadhav had some very inspirational and success stories as they shared their journeys on how they have steered their lives in the direction to serve society against all odds and evoked thoughts on how the council can take their mission ahead to empower and celebrate women. The energising and positive panel discussion left the entire WICCIKDPC members in awe. All safety and social distancing guidelines were maintained throughout the event. Police personnel visited to review arrangements and a thorough green was received prior to the event.
