Vanisha Pathak, a 16 year old girl from Bhopal topped the Class 10 CBSE exams. She recently lost both her parents to Covid-19 and is still reeling from the loss.
Vanisha secured 100 marks in English, Sanskrit, Science and Social Science. She scored 97 in Mathematics.
Her parents passed away within days of each other in May. Though Vanisha was shaken by the loss, she had to concentrate on her exams.
It was her father’s dream to either see her study at IIT or to clear the UPSC exams and serve the nation. She is now going all out to achieve his dream.
She has a younger brother who is the biggest source of motivation right now. She is all he has and that is what keeps her going.
Vanisha”s mother was a teacher in a government school while her father worked as a financial advisor.
