Carlos Alcaraz is the new Wimbledon champion

Carlos Alcaraz from Spain has become the new Wimbledon champion after defeating defending champion Novak Djokovic in a battle that went on for over 4 hours. The 20 year old defeated Djokovic 1-6, 7-6,( 8-6,) 6-1, 3-6, 6-4.

This is the second Grand Slam title that Carlos has won in his short career. The earlier title he won was at the 2022 US Open.
Spanish King Felipe gave a thumbs up sign from the Royal box as Carlos Alcaraz was being crowned the Wimbledon’s men’s singles champion and was extremely delighted at the 20 year old’s victory.
After the match, Alcaraz stated that King Felipe was his lucky charm and how it was special for him to play before royalty. He also thanked the King for coming over and supporting him.
He later shook hands with the King after his stunning victory Also present at the Royal box were Prince William and Princess Kate who were seen chatting with King Felipe.
