Rapper Cardi B will be hosting the fan-voted American Music Awards. It will be aired from Los Angeles on ABC on November 21.
Executive Producer Jesse Collins said ”We are immensely excited to have the dynamic Cardi B bring her infectious energy to the American Music Awards as a first-time host”.
Cardi B performed ”I Like It” with Balvin and Bad Bunny at the show in 2018 and also made history during her appearance last year. She is the first female rapper to win Favorite Hip- Hop Song twice.
There are some new categories added to the Awards this year – favourite trending song, favourite gospel artist and favourite Latin duo or group.
Rapper Smoke who was killed last year has been nominated in three categories including famous hip-hop album and favourite hip-hop artist. He could win his first award posthumously.
