Guests were invited to the Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore to ring in pre-Christmas cheer with their cake mixing ceremony recently. Several known faces from the city’s social circuit joined in the annual ritual as spirits were poured over tonnes of raisins, sultanas, cashews, walnuts and apricots. The dry fruits were tossed around gaily as also in the quest to find the green and red coins that the hotel team hid in the pile of goodies. Giving the event a fun angle as every year, there were peals of laughter and whoops of joy as a few lucky guests pulled out the coins and won themselves brunches, spa treatments and also hotel stay experiences. The culinary team had a spread of varied cheese, cold cuts and sushi along with dainty desserts which added to the festive cheer. General Manager, Antony Page addressed the gathering as he reminded everyone about the season of giving and spreading good cheer. The hotel team will prepare for their tree lighting ceremony in November and sell gingerbread bricks to make their giant Gingerbread House, the proceeds of which go to charity lending to the season to give and be jolly.
