Student life: I finished my course in Interior Design and Architecture from Exterior- Interior Pvt ltd by Jenson and Nicholson, New Delhi.
Design highpoints: During my stint with Juneja Associates, I worked and designed big Hotel chains like ITC Hotels, Leela Hotels, Oberoi and executed and handled 132rooms for Ista Hotel Bengaluru. The other project close to my heart was designing Himani Modi’s residence while working with Prem Nath and Associates.
Signature Style: My style is minimalistic with a strong bend towards Zen interiors concepts which are purely about straight lines. I like mixing natural elements together like stone and wood. I dedicate my time solely on one project while finalising designs before taking up other projects and through the implementation process. I have a very practical approach towards home interiors and like to strike a fine balance between daily activities with a good blend of comfort and attractive interiors.
Current trends: The trends internationally are moving towards a look which is beyond what we Indians are used to – keeping the interiors rough, rugged, unfinished, unpainted and giving a very natural look to your abode. In India, we have adapted a few elements of these trends where the usage of terracotta for floors or walls is being seen a lot. Rustic and reclaimed wood usage requires less maintenance and is friendly on the pocket too.
