BY NAMITA GUPTA
Student life: Graduated from MCE Mysore University.
Design highpoints: I was chosen by Britannia Industries, Padi to redesign their office which was my maiden project. Having a few senior architects onboard helped.
Awards and recognitions: International portfolios like The Messe Frankfurt HEIMTEXTIL 2001, MYNT and cafe’ INCH in Egypt. On the domestic front, I’ve designed the management campus for Christ University, Bannerghatta Road in Bengaluru and Platinum rated Anand Theatre in Kerala besides other key projects.
Signature style: Our style has kept pace with new trends and it’s an eclectic mix. The ability to empathise, collaborating as a team and lot of ‘on site’ attention given to projects has created a strong bond with most of our clients.
Current trends: Organic design with innovative ability to morph into spaces suiting multifunctional needs. Ingesting greenery into designs to make up for the lost green breathing space which are so essential but neglected or abused, in the evergrowing requirement of build spaces for living and work.
