The black box of the Yeti Airlines Aircraft that crashed on Sunday with 72 people on board was handed over by the Nepal Army to the Civil Aviation Authorities by the Nepal Army. The black box is a flight data recorder that records all flight information through a special algorithm.
The plane that crashed just minutes before touch-down in Pokhara was carrying 72 passengers. So far 68 bodies have been recovered from the site of the crash. The bodies of passengers whose identities have been established were sent for post-mortem. The bodies of the crew members, foreigners and the ones yet to be identified were sent to Kathmandu.
After the crash, Nepal’s Yeti Airlines cancelled all flights on the 16th to mourn the loss of lives in the crash.
