BJP demands action against actor Shruthi Hassan

The actress was accompanying father Kamal Haasan for booth visits in Coimbatore

The BJP has complained against the presence of actress Shruthi Hassan in the polling booth at South Coimbatore. The party claimed that there was a rule that only the agent was allowed at the booth and that criminal action needs to be taken against Shruthi Haasan. The actress was accompanying her father, Makkal Needhi Maiam chief Kamal Haasan who is contesting the Assembly elections from Coimbatore South. Kamal along with his daughters, Shruthi and Akshara had cast their votes in Chennai before heading to coimbatore. Kamal Haasan also complained to the election commission against the BJP that the party had promised money to voters if they voted them to power.
