Tamilnadu witnessed the biggest spike in coronavirus cases as 527 people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours. The death toll in Tamilnadu has gone up to 31. Tamilnadu is only next to Maharashtra to see a spurt of more than 500 cases in a single day. The total number of coronavirus cases in India has reached 46,433. The death toll in the country has reached 1568 after 195 people died yesterday.
Maharashtra has the highest death toll with more than 500 deaths. Around 1500 people tested positive for the virus in Maharashtra in the last 24 hours. The Ministry of Health and Welfare has declared that the COVID-19 curve is relatively flat and the peak may never come if work is done collectively to control the situation. They said that due to the lockdown, they were able to control cases relatively. The states of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana and West Bengal also witnessed a spike of cases in a single day.
