Biden calls for curbs for firearms after another school shooting

An 18 year old teenager opened fire inside an elementary school in Uvalde county in Texas leaving 21 dead. Eighteen students and three adults were killed and several people were injured in the shooting. This led to President Joe Biden to call for restrictions on firearms.

The suspected shooter has been identified as Salvador Ramos and was shot dead by the police at the scene. He was armed with a rifle and a handgun. A couple of police officers too were shot in the incident but they are expected to survive according to the Texas Governor.
Biden will address the nation later in the day after he returns from South Korea and has ordered that flags be flown at half-mast until sunset till the 28th of May in observance of the tragedy.
According to press reports, this is the deadliest shooting at a US school in nearly a decade.
