ShilpaAhuja.com strives to spread confidence through fashion and lifestyle. It all started with a belief that confidence can be the key to positivity and self-awareness, which in turns makes one happy from within. The blog focuses on fashion not just as a way of personal style – but as a way of life. Its aim is to democratize fashion by simplifying runway trends into quick and easy styling tips.
Inspiration
For my blog, I get all the inspiration from my husband, who encourages me to pursue my dreams. His encouragement gave me the courage to quit my job and take the plunge into blogging, which is something that gives me immense satisfaction. That makes me feel more confident, and I believe that style comes from confidence. For fashion, I get inspired by traveling and experiencing new things. I translate all that into my personal style.
Must-haves for the summer
For the summer heat, comfort dictates everything, because if one is not comfortable, it’ll ruin the best of outfits. So sleeveless cotton crop tops are a must-have. This season, pair them with structured culottes or midi-skirts with thigh-high slits.
Most comfortable in
I’m most comfortable in cotton tank tops paired with cute Victoria’s Secret PJs. I also find flared mini-dresses really comfy.
Date night outfits for the season
One-shoulder tops are very in this season and look super sexy. Pair them with flared knee-length skirts and ankle-strap stilettos for a classy evening look. If you’re unsure, classic little white dresses never go wrong on a summer date night! Pair them with pumps and shimmery eyeshadow.
Accessorizing for the summer
For casual days, criss-cross flat sandals with cross-body mini bags are great this season. For parties, I’m loving fringe clutches and embellished pumps. Hair accessories are very, very in this year, so try top-knot buns wrapped with scarves. For jewelry, I’m loving single earrings. And statement bracelets.
Fashion trends and tips are just suggestions, not rules. So at the end of the day, you have to decide what works for your personality, and what suits your body type. Wear what makes you feel good, and never leave home in an outfit that doesn’t make you feel confident.
