A Bali resort has now made amends to gift digital detox to its guests, and in a way that might not go down well with netizens. The resort is asking guests to not use their phones and mobile devices by the pool. This way, the property is looking to help guests appreciate their surroundings and nature.

The digital detox is happening at Ayana Resort, this way, they are working to help people get off their phones, and stop them from their compulsive behavior of taking pictures and updating on social media. You are encouraged to swim, play a game, or simply read a book while enjoying the poolside.  The 21st-century  people are Namophobic which basically means that they are unable to switch off their phone or get away from surfing the internet. Also, research has suggested that the use of social media is linked to depression.

Of course, the digital detox idea is not going to go down well with many people, especially those who are called “social media influencers”, but the resort’s efforts to help people experience the pure joy of traveling has to be appreciated. Some research also suggests that a certain percentage of people go on holidays as they would be beneficial for their social media presence.
