A baby boy was born mid air aboard a Delhi- Bengaluru IndiGo flight. The mother was assisted by a lady doctor in the aircraft. The entire crew chipped in and ensured that the delivery took place smoothly. Immediately after the aircraft took off from the Delhi airport, the woman developed labour pains.
The flight attendants responded immediately and a lady doctor on the flight offered to help. The baby boy was born and its cries evoked both joy and a round of applause. The flight attendants were called as heroes on board and are all from Bengaluru. Led by Shradha Chauhan, her team comprised of Anupriya, Tripti and Ankita. They were appreciated for their presence of mind and smart work. After landing at the Kempegowda International Airport, the mother and newborn baby were shifted to a medical facility inside the airport and both are doing fine.
