The Residency at Crowne Plaza Chennai Adyar Park is hosting the Great Awadh Food Festival. Chef Gauhar Ali from Holiday Inn Mayur Vihar New Delhi has been roped in for this festival to ensure the creation of dishes par excellence in order to provide the gourmands  in order to provide an authentic royal culinary experience of Awadh. 

Chef Gauhar Ali has accomplished global fame and reverence given its rich, exotic flavours and elaborate presentations. One such area from this repertoire that has assimilated across various cultures and has grown into a culinary sensation is the Kebab – a favourite among food connoisseurs. Espousing the ornate flavours of Awadh cuisine, Chef has brought the Awadhi festival with a wide range of specially curated kebabs in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.  With an array of options to indulge in and satiate one’s taste buds, The menu offers Gosht Barbari seekh, Alamgiri murgh, Anarkali sarso tikka, Paneer Firdausi, Mewa mawe ki seekh kebab, Nihari gosht, Murgh korma, Dal Nawabi, Aloo matar tamatar ki sabzi, Shahi paneer, Lucknowi fish curry, Awadhi gosht dum biryani, Awadhi subz dum biryani, Nazakati Bhharwa aloo and desserts are Sewaiyaan Muzafar, Shahi tukda.

Speaking on the menu Chef Gauhar Ali stated,” I am excited to be a part of this food festival which is happening at Crowne Plaza Chennai Adyar Park and  fortunate enough to get a chance to serve Awadhi food to Chennaites. Awadhi food is all about brake cooking so that the meat and other vegetables absorb the flavours of the spices precisely. Since it is the cuisine belongs from the old kitchen of Nawabs, there is both richness and charm in it. Proportionate spices and other dry fruits are used to balance the flavours. Ghee and saffron are used in abundance in most of the dishes,”
