After 25 days since he was detained by the Barcotics Control Bureau in the cruise ship bust case, Aryan Khan was granted bail by the Mumbai High Court. The court also granted bail to the other accused -Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha.
Aryan Khan and two others were in custody since October 2 when they were detained by the NCB. They approached the Mumbai High Court after their bail petitions were rejected by the special NDPS court on the ground that although no drugs were found on Aryan, his friend Arbaaz was carrying them and hence it amounted to ”conscious possession”.
Aryan’s lawyer Muikul Rohatgo, former Attorney General of India argued that no drugs were found on him and therefore the grounds for his arrest were flimsy, Social media has been flooded with messages of support for Shah Rukh.
After the court granted bail to Aryan, his father Shah Rukh Khan was seen posing with his team of lawyers for photographs with smiles on their faces.
