Latest SBI projections reveal that we can expect the third wave by August
Even as the second wave is just receding from the country, speculations are rife as to when we are to expect a third wave of the deadly Corona Virus. What is clear is that the possibility of a third wave can not be ruled out. While some reports suggest that it may not be as severe as the second wave, a report by the State Bank of India published last month suggests that we can expect the next wave to hit us by mid August and continue to peak by September. The report suggests that it may be as severe as the second wave although fatalities may be lesser. The projections were based on historical trends. The only way to beat the virus is to get increase vaccination and continue to covid protocols of wearing masks, social distancing and sanitising.
