Anupam Kher to play Shankaracharya role in Acharya Arrest?

Bollywood actor, director and producer Anupam Kher may make his Kannada movie debut with Acharya Arrest — a film that is based on the controversial murder that took place in Kanchi Peetam in 2004, The murder later led to the arrest of seer Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati. It is said that Anupam will play the role of Shankaracharya in the film, the tagline of which is ‘an insult to every Hindu’.
