Travelers can rejoice, Air India is planning to venture into holiday packages segment of the business. The airlines are launching this feature quite late, as most of the competitors of Air India such as Jet Airways and IndiGo airlines already give these services to their customers. The airlines, that is under debt, is going into the holiday package business to enhance its capital.
Air India provides the maximum number of domestic flights, international flights, economic flights and now they are also planning to provide tailor-made holidays for its customers. The packages will cover flights, sightseeing options, hotels, and the on-road travel.
For the sole purpose of this, Air India recently floated a tender inviting only the reputed travel companies for technical and commercial proposals, The companies that apply should be the biggest dealers in technology, content and marketing industry. They should also be able to develop the website and manage it. The highest bidder will get the contract for a period of three years
