Age proof mandatory

Women devotees between the ages 10 years to 50 years have been banned from visiting the shrine at Sabarimalai. However a lot of women try to get past the ban and try to get into the hillock shrine.

Hence the managing authorities viz the Travancore Devaswom Board or the TDB has insisted that women provide an authentic age proof document to prove their age.It is now the season for visiting the Lord Ayyappa Temple in Sabarimalai, Kerala and women who want to visit the shrine can only do so after providing an authentic age proof document.
