The longest-running play in the world, Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap, is touring in India and there will be five shows in Chennai. To welcome the cast, The British Deputy High Commissioner, Chennai, Mr. Oliver Ballhatchet MBE, organized a dinner party to meet and greet the cast of Agatha Christe’s West End Production ‘The Mousetrap’ recently. It was a grand affair and everyone was excited as the show was all set to hit the theaters.
The Mousetrap, the original production from London with an all British cast, opened in London’s West End in 1952 and has been running continuously since then. The play’s 25,000th performance was held recently and the murder mystery is well known for its surprise ending, delivered in a typical Agatha Christie-style.
