Adele won three prizes at the Brit Awards held in London. She was also named artist of the year. She took home the album of the year prize for ”30” and won song of the year for ”Easy on Me”.
She dedicated the award for ”30” which is an album forged from the breakup of her marriage, to her ex-husband Simon Konecki and son Angelo. She performed for her home-town audience at London’s O2 Arena by sitting on a piano and singing ”I Drink Wine”.
The Brits is one of the few awards shows that have gone on in spite of the pandemic. The show in 2020 took place just before Britain went into lockdown. Last year, it was held in May and many, including health care workers, were given free tickets.
The function this year included performances by two of U.K.s rap artists-Little Simz and Dave.
