Actor Sarath Babu passed away on May 22 due to multi-organ failure at a private hospital in Hyderabad. He was 71 years old. He had been hospitalised due to multi-organ damage.
His mortal remains were kept for some time for public homage at Hyderabad Film Chamber and later shifted to his residence in T.Nagar, Chennai. The cremation will take place this evening at Guindy.
Sarath Babu acted in more than 200 films in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.. His acting career spanned nearly 4 decades. He made his acting debut with the Telugu film Rama Rajyam in 1973. His breakthrough film was Nizhal Nijamagiradhu with director K.Balachander and received 8 state Nandi awards.
Fans and netizens took to Twitter to offer their heartfelt condolences for the actor.
